The Israeli prime minister’s office did not respond to a request for comment Wednesday regarding the Kharg. Pentagon press secretary John Kirby said the U.S. was aware of the loss of the ship, but declined to comment further.
There were high fives all around, but no comment.

I would hope so - although the pace in ship building advances has slowed, 40 years newer would still be a considerable "upgrade".

That ship was suspected in being one of the links in a convoluted chain for supplying Hamas arms. What a coincidence that it sinks at a time when Hamas is needing to be resupplied. What was that about karma.
