Made sense to me. Course I've lived in East Texas and now Southern Missouri. Turn left and a quick right at the old Jones place that burned down near 30 year ago. Turn right just past the Rexall. RIDE SAFE.

Old farmer back home in Iowa used to give directions by saying "oh lemme see now...go about 3 sees and left at the lone oak." One day I asked "what's a 'see'?" He said "you pick a point as far as you can see and drive to it, do it two more times for three sees." I tested it and sure enough...there was a huge old oak tree out in the middle of nowhere...with a road only going to the left. Grin

There is sort of a by-pass around our town.  I use it sometimes.  To make a turn on a certain road rely on an old barn.  Now they have torn down the barn to put in a round-about (traffic circle).   Now won't be able to fine my road.   tickedoff

Upon living in North Carolina for several years I came to the conclusion that directions there usually do not involve road names as navigation is done by landmarks -  past, present and future:  You take a left by the old folks home and you go down a couple of miles and turn right where that old barn used to be, take a left where they're supposed to be building the new Walmart, then you take a left about 5 miles before the road ends.
