I was crusin eBay and stumbled across an ad for Digi Sync. I thought they were no longer being made. Bon must have either started a company or sold the product to https://thedigisync.com. Looks like about $210 for the 6 channel version with the box and magnet. I am not affiliated with the company. I can tell you though that the Digi Sync is an awesome tool and unparalleled in balancing Valkyrie carbs.

Hmmmmmm is right.  Unless Bon sold his stock and forfeited a patent it looks like a pirate company.

It really troubled me that it could be pirated. It pisses me off when people steal stuff. So I contacted the company. Here is the transcript. I suppose they could be liars and thieves, but my gut says they are legit.

Is the product you are selling the same as the Digi Sync that was sold some years ago By Bon S, on the Valkyrie Riders Cruiser Club (VRCC) web site? Thanks

I'm not sure what patent anyone may have on this as I understand it's an Arduino with some pressure sensors and open source code.

My understanding is this was the original creator of the digital sync board https://digitalcarbsync.com/ and the design had been used and sold by others under their own brand names.  Last year when I was looking into building a digi sync that is the information I had received anyway.

Now the Logo, Domain etc.. may be trademarked idk, but I doubt there would be anything to patent that hadn't been patented previously.

In my quest I found the sensors to difficult to find stock and to expensive to justify the build so made a manometer instead.

Probably legitimate then.  I haven't seen any of the reviewers chime in and say, "I didn't say that!" -- so far anyway.

I have a Digi Sync, but looked at building one from the open source information. The cost of sensors is $16 to $22 each. You still need everything else, and to fabricate a case, and program the module. $200 seems like a good deal. They replied to me after what I posted above and said

Thank you! Yes, Bon was tired of keeping up with the business and wanting to retire. But, he knew the product was very beneficial to so many people. So, we are doing everything we can to keep it alive and thriving."

Also if you notice the case and logo etc. etc., are  all Bon's design. I think they are on the up and up. I'd buy one if I needed another one!

I would not buy directly from the website simply knowing the domain changed hands & is under new ownership, however the new owner (Registrant) chose to hide behind Domain Privacy Protection rather than allow their contact information to be published freely on whois.  I cant think of a reason a legitimate business would want to hide contact information.   Also knowing there is no mention of new management / ownership on their website and yet they are still using past user comments or reviews to promote the product.  A little fishy to me to not disclose that information for my online purchasing.

And to add to this there are 2 domains hosted to the same IP address which really is the final nail in the coffin for me.  I would possibly purchase the product if it was on Amazon or Ebay but I would not purchase directly from that website.

Very interesting Timbo1. The things you have added there are outside my wheelhouse, but make sense. I really hate it when people steel things from Digi Sync to elections. I guess my response to all of the thieves out there "May God repay you according to your deeds." And if they are on the up and up, may God bless them, and Bon S richly.
