Yeah, it would be GREAT if we talk tomorrow about what a great game it
was and NOT discussing one or two bad calls that changed the outcome.
Wouldn't want to be a referee in bigtime sports...looks like a hard job!!!
Pullin' for Bama (SEC) but Texas also deserves to win. cooldude

If UT plays like they did against Nebraska, they don't even deserve to be ranked, much less, in the bowl.  IMHO

You can tell I don't follow sports... I thought this was another political thread, started by the "pro o-BAMA" side...  Cheesy

Bama looks to be the better team, but I have to root for the 'Horns.  Too many relatives in the DFW area, plus I have two nephews in class at UT-Austin... and they will be rich someday... and I'm their favorite uncle... do the math.  lol.

I'm gonna root for 'Bama, but with Nick Saben coaching I'm going to have to take a shower when I'm done.

This will be only the second time in my life I've pulled for Alabama the first was last year when they played Flordia for the title...I'm with Dave it won't be much of a game Alabama by 20 . If the Tennessee VOLS can keep its players out of jail maybe we'll have a team next year  Undecided

I'm not vested in either team. . . .  I played at a MAC school and always cheeed on Michigan (yea, it's been a tough last two years!) I like the history and tradition of both Texas and Bama. . . but it's hard to cheer for a Nick Saban team. He'll be running off into the night in a few years, regardless of tonight's results. I guess if boths teams play their best, Bama wins by 2 touchdowns.

Good luck to both  cooldude

What happened to the Gators when they played 'Bama. It was one of the worst games they had played in some time...taking nothing away from the Tide by any means. Texas only beat Cincy by a couple points in the last seconds of their game, then Florida comes along and spanks Cincy...who only lost to Texas by a hair.

As for this game tonight, the calls are questionable at times. A bit ago I saw a Bama player slam a receiver before the ball got there, right in front of the ref and it wasn't called. Happened a couple times now, but it's gone both ways, just that some are a bit questinable when it happens under your nose. I did some referring as a young man and I know it gets a bit hairy out there, but when it's right under your nose there's no excuse.

PS: Not pulling for either team, just watching an exceptional game. Whoever wins...a big congrats.

It is really too bad McCoy was knocked out of the game.  It would have been a much better game.

But how would you like to be an 19YO freshman backup (with 20 snaps all season) sitting the bench behind McCoy (who has been hit hard a thousand times) and all of a sudden, a few plays into the game, the coach runs over and says  "OK son, get in there and win us a national championship!"
