Well, its NYS.  Consider the gov, mayor, and the MTA . I'm glad I no longer go to the city.  There was a time, awhile back, when I felt NYS really was the Empire State. It has since turned blue.

It may be worse, but I remember the unmistakable whiff of urine occasionally in the morning while riding. Unless you ride the subway you will never understand the smell of the NY subways, its a unique experience.

Im surprised they dont mention the sleeping on the trains or the subway platforms.
