You can't say enough good about Patrice Bergeron, the mans an hockey icon, the best 2 way player and a true benevolent human.  He has a booth he sponsors and fills with hospital kids every home game.  It's said he visits with them after the game.

If this is true, I admire the man.  He knows what he can and should accomplish with his celebrity.  I'm sure he isn't the exception either.  The problem is he doesn't get the attention of the Lame Stream Media (thank you RUSH).  Anyone who attempts to ease the suffering of a child is a hero in my eyes.

A gut punch off of a major missed stick check from Chiarot that led to a great tip by Coleman. Angry
Vasilevskiy was a brick wall. Cry

Out played, out hustled, out hit, out positioned, out checked, out scored, and ultimately embarrassed on their own rink, in front of their own fans.  Cry
That is never fun in Montreal; the writers will tear them up in tomorrow's papers.

Tampa dominated from the puck drop, hit the gas and never let up.
More hustle goals again, beating Montreal to the puck, winning all the corner battles.
So, it's desperation time for the Canadiens on Monday.
The outlook is grim, but they need to play it one shift at a time in the next match.
Anything less than a complete turnaround and Tampa Bay will hoist another Stanley Cup.

I don’t recall ever seeing such a lopsided Stanley Cup Finals. I missed game 2, but 1&3 have just been absolute routs.  tickedoff

From what little I saw of the game set me to wunderin-Even at Home looked like The Canadiens were mailing it in-on foot and taking far Too many pauses. Has anybody mentioned to them-Canadiens-these ARE the last games of the N H L Season? I remeber looking at the scores and T B had 13 shots on goal at that point with 3 goals. The "other" guys with 17 s o g and 1 goal. And surprise surprise I got no horse in this race. RIDE SAFE.

Their best so far came in Game 2 when they outshot T.B. by 2-1 margin.
Vasilevskiy was stellar.
Saw the same in the "energy" facet of the game for Montreal; there were episodes of "snowshoes" as we used to call it when the legs just wouldn't move.
Also, T.B. made the best of their chances from strategic positions in the circles and slot areas.
They are playing better basic hockey than my Habs; tough to admit it about the dynasties that mastered team domination concepts for so many years back in the 50's-70's, but they are seriously outgunned right now. The ghosts of the Forum did not make the trip down to the new arena it seems.
Buttttttt....I ain't over until it's over and it's happened before...down 0-3 and Jesus laces them up. Wink
If the season ends on Monday, so be it and close the books on the pandemic-length year.
Go Habs!

You are correct, the Dallas Stars will not win the Superbowl, or Stanley Cup, thingy this year.

There's always next year and the Stars just might have a better chance at the Superbowl thingy then the Dallas Cowboys will. Smiley

Tampa Bay is a powerhouse running on all cylinders and a brick wall for a goalie, I almost feel bad for the Canadians.

Always respected Carey Price, maybe he'll get traded and win a cup, that would be fine.

Clean sweep tonight ?

You know the answer by now!

Weber takes 4 minutes I thought it was done! Good PK and then a great second effort by Anderson made it worth watching for sure.

I thought they were done also. They still looked outmatched all game though. But, it’s not over till the fat lady sings.

Officiating is inconsistent, terrible on both ends of the ice.

Canadiens are still in it despite being outshot last night.
They redeemed themselves in front of the Bell Centre crowd to not go down in 4.
A few well placed face washings made me happy that they weren't going without some nastiness directed towards their opponents.
Let us see what happens "demain".
Go Habs Go  Smiley

Jesus had a groin pull after warmups; so last night we settled for Josh Anderson with the miracle walking on (solid) water.2funny

Funny you should mention that.  I've been praying to St. Medard, the patron saint of bad storms, to assist Hurricane Elsa in ripping off the arena roof in Tampa Bay, thereby shifting game 5 back to Montreal. Evil

Game winning goal by a rookie for Tampa Bay.  That puck will go into his trophy case for sure.
Canadiens played them even all game long but couldn't put one past the Conn Smythe winner, Vasilevskiy.
Tampa won and deservedly so; back to back Cups is no easy feat.
A solid team up and down the bench of skill players and "lunch pail" guys just happy to play a role in the season.
Tip of the cap. cheers

I missed the game due to family time pool volleyball. Tampa is a good team. They dominated Montreal just about every minute that I watched in the series.

It was pretty evident to anyone who watched the regular season that the Canadian division was much weaker than the US ones. And TB was the best of a better division.

Just glad the Habs lost.  Grin
