Very sad indeed. First, Lytton broke heat records for 3 days in a row, with the highest temperature of 49.7 degrees celsius on Mon or Tue. And the next day the little town burns down. The fire is out of control and has been growing since.

Hwy1 is now closed all the way from Hope to Spences Bridge.

I was just going to post about this. Glad to see others do it.

I took the kids there years ago for the Stein Valley and for some gold panning in the Fraser River, the daughter remembers it.

Sounds like a lot of help being offered for the residents, good for you all. I was also thinking of posting in the CL free section recommending donations for them, but I don't have any means of getting items up there.

My cousin just went home to Boston Bar yesterday. I haven't been following these fires, but I think they are on the move to the north.

The video I watched, looked like the gas station we stop at on Hwy 1, when going from Merritt to Lillooet.

There are places to donate needed items all over the Lower Mainland this weekend. They will fill up U-Haul trucks and drive up there Sunday evening or Monday morning...
