Without that Noisy Exhaust sound kinda meh! When slowing and accelerating sound something like a jet engine spooling up or down. shrug. RIDE SAFE.

yah, just turned it on to see the last few laps of Formula E racing. Not much of a wide track to pass etc. and judging by the cars, if you hit the wall like one did VERY minor it disrupts these cars immensely loosing power/steering, etc.
It is coming am sure, just wish not in my lifetime. Been looking at e-bicycles just now since my ex-neighbor just bought one for 1750 and seems like a neat idea 500 to 750w lithium ion batteries will last 3-5 years and 500-1000 charge cycles before needing another one, depending on usage of course could be much longer in years usage if not used much. I only found a few e-bikes though that support 300lb. weight limit most are 275lbs. and under. A TON of e-bike companies are out there building these e-bikes with most ONLY carrying a 1 year warranty. I wonder how many of these e-bikes companies are in it for the short term not being around 5 years from now making a quick buck and then exiting?
Researching seems like heavier person 500w mininum preferred 750w and all are 1500 bucks on up to over 2K lasting anywhere from 15 to 25 miles full electric usage to 40-50 miles using electric usage minimally and 6-8 hours full charging time.
My 150 dollar toys r us bicycle have had 15 years still works, but electric assist would be nice on hills as I age or longer distances which I do not do anymore keep all rides 15 miles and under since go slower vs. 20 years ago.
I should go test ride a few to see how hard they are to pedal without any e-assist since most weight 65-70lbs. but most still have 7 to 21 speed teeth for gearing changes pedaling like a normal bicycle.
what my ex-neighbor bought would not fit me made for 250lbs. and under and folds up and ONLY 20 inch tires made for lighter/shorter riders. He did not get a great deal IMO since bought from local e-bike place in Madison WI same 1750 pricing he can get anywhere but at least with a REAL store if any issues under 1 year warranty can take it back to the store at least vs. ONLINE ordering would not be trusting to do that.

It's been several years back. My neighbor had an e bike . It was in the garage recharging overnight. They were awakened to a fire started by the batteries or charge system. The house was a total loss.
I have a razor 36volt MX style pit bike. It only gets charged outside. On firm ground it hauls my 250# ok . On softer soil its a little sluggish. Overall its ok .
