So many colors to choose from yet so few stand out

Covington, TN

« on: July 20, 2021, 05:02:46 PM »

I was asked to let folks know that Jerry (Bigwolf) of Rickman, TN is out of his surgery and according to Mural, is doing well.   Says he's hungry now.  As many already know, Jerry suffered from Afib.   Any further information Jerry will have to post.  I'm just glad he's got it done and over with.

Hope this finally resolves that problem for good! Heal up quick and follow doctors' suggestions (I know how much you like doing that Wink ).

Jerry,

Sure glad to hear the good news, my friend! I've known this was coming up, but the timing has slipped up on me nonetheless... Now for all the fun of the next phase as recovery follows on the way to being nearly whole again... Take care, Jerry; naturally, we all think you should follow instructions from your healthcare providers, but please don't forget to dutifully follow ALL instructions from CB! An error or oversight there could really harm your return to the road trip destiny you appear to have... Best of luck to ya!!!

I thought you knew.  She goes by the handle of  Crazy Bitch.   Obviously, there's a story behind that but, it's not for me to tell.

angel Prayers Jerry for a speedy recovery and maybe you'll be ready for another trip down the the Gulf Coast this fall. If so maybe you can trailer the bike this time and join up with us for a Sat. ride. coolsmiley

Great news Jerry, so glad to hear your ticker is keeping accurate time again!  Heck, you might get in a 'womple this season after all.  Heal fully, heal well.

Good morning fellow Valkyrie riders! The surgery they put me through yesterday was downright nasty! They told me it went well,……… but they were not feeling it from my end! This morning my cardiologist said he had done all that needed done and that the rest of the heart looked really good. He wants to wait a couple of months before doing the watchman operation but my heart might need this ablation procedure to be repeated before that happens. It’s complicated but I understand how it works and the need to wait. Sooooo, …. this process of recovery rolls on …… so slowly. But it is continuing to move forward! Thank you all for the well wishes! You are all wonderful people!

Well heck Jerry, I apopogize for jumping the gun on your progress.  I was unfamiliar with the procedures you mentioned so I had to DuckDuck them.  It sounds like you're on the road to recovery, and you'll get there...

Prayers continuing.

Jerry,
I didn't know you were down. Glad to hear you're up and about, as everyone said, do as you're told and all will be fine.

Seth,
No apology necessary!  I am certainly looking forward to getting back into more carefree saddle time.  This medical stuff is just a pothole in the road of life.  It is prudent to take a careful approach to negotiating it but there is more good road ahead.  With that said, I feel very lucky and blessed that I have almost 74 years of experience on this road of life and have had to deal with so few potholes in it.

Bigwolf

Kieth,
Yes, COVID hit me in early April and left me with an AFib issue.  Getting the AFIB corrected is taking extra time because of understaffing at the hospital and the overload of “catch up” surgery being performed in the hospital.  Bottom line is that I am still catching a short ride now and then but avoiding any long rides until I can put the blood thinners behind.  Right now I am scheduled to be able to stop blood thinners sometime in late October.  If all goes according to that plan, I just might be heading to the Gulf for some end of year riding.  Time will tell!
