At the top of my Christmas list is a nice, shiny brand-new 1911 pistol. I don't think Santa will bring me this one.. Somebody out there is buying these things though.

Sweet and beautiful, but at $7999 a bit rich for my blood.

One plus tho, might dazzle the thug gang bangas with the shiny bling rendering them dazed, easy targets.  Bangas love shiny bling!   Wink

Yep, thats pricey, but, beautiful. Especially for a 1911 fan, like me. I doubt they'll go down in value.

I like 1911s alot.   cooldude

You don't need to buy Nighthawk (or Turnbull or Wilson or Staccato or Cabot or Brown either), unless you are made of money.

Maybe the nicest entry high end ones are CZ Dan Wesson models.  But you don't need those either.

Sig, Springfield, Smith, Ruger, Kimber, Rock island,

Choose full size or commander, all steel or alloy frame, railed for lights and lasers or not, and buy ammo with the money you save.

I paid $350 for this one, about 50 years ago.  (it's worth more today)

And a Lightweight Springfield Operator with light rail.

They make nice big holes. Smiley

Turnbull ?

I'm surprised they were brought up. But, glad.

They are pricey, but, do good work. I know a couple fellas that work there. I remember when they first started and wondered if they would make it. Well, apparently they have. They have done some famous work. And its neat that they are nearby and a that NYS gun business is successful.

Ya mon, way too rich for me to spend that cash on a handgun, I'd much rather buy a beautiful F6 like the Britman!  Cheesy

I'd be afraid to scratch it or something, it would make a nice collectors item I think.

They're my favorite  by far, I looked at Rock Island awhile ago and they were all sold out. We have a CZ Rami 9 which is a nice little package for CC.

I fired a 1911 that belongs to a friend, can't remember the make but that was my favorite last time out.. handgun that is.. I really dig the two AR's he made, I'm talking to him about a trade for my GW. He'll take good care of me whatever we decide on. He's got a nice collection and can customize rifles at will.

Well if you have tween 2 and 3 mil burnin a hole in yer wallet you might be able to purchase the pistol that Pat Garret used to kill Billy The Kid. Too much? $200000 $300000 might git ya the shot gun B T K used to kill Bob Olinger during his escape from jail. Bonhams has this and other Old West memrobilia at auction soon. Case the old relable 1911 don't suite ya! RIDE SAFE.

B T K ?  Had to think about that. Remember him a few years back ? Bind Torture Kill .

Then I realized your BTK was a century earlier.  It takes a while sometimes for me to realize things.

If you've got a spare $4.5 million you could pick up this pair of Cabot 1911's forged from a meteorite... Definitely an interesting conversation piece...

In the $5,000 - $8,000 the Arsenal Firearms AF2011 is rather different as well...

On the other hand, if you want a modern .45, the Sig 320 will do it for you nicely (at a reasonable price).

Stick a light on the rail.

You get the pistol carried by the US military.  With a grip and angle as close to the 1911 I ever held.  Simple striker fire trigger.  30 ounces, vrs the steel 1911 40 ounces.

Full size.
