Some good music and associated memories.  I s'pose there are worse ways to go than drifting away home in your sleep.  R.I.P. Dusty.

I think there was a reason why he left work to go home, but, going in your sleep is the way to go.

Met Dusty, Frank and Billy in 1999 or 2000 when I was working part time at our local civic center.
I worked back stage as a runner for many bands.  Not very glamorous had to grocery shop for the buses take laundry to be done and go get what ever they wanted. But got to eat lunch with most of the bands and hang out for a bit. Then When they took the stage I was right there side stage. It was a cool experience. Worked backstage for Styx, Survivor, REO Speedwagon,3 doors down, finger 11,Wide Spread Panic and a host of others. Fun times.

Kind of a funny story must have been 50 years ago Dusty met and bought one of our friends girl friend about 75 dollars in albums this girl went to our high school and we were stunned thought that was an outrageous sum of money at the time. Needless to say our buddy was history after this shopping trip and she later married Dusty.  Of course divorced later.  Kind of hard to compete against fame and money the women almost always go for the gusto dont you know.  Always liked ZZ Topp rip Dusty you will be missed.
