After a few hundred miles now on the Avon Cobra front tire I can now say that I do like the tire.  Plus, it seems to pair up fine with the Dunlop Elite IV rear.  The biggest difference between the Cobra and the Elite III is that the Cobra does not sing while going down the road.

Haven't ridden in any type of weather other than hot, so we'll see how it does in rain at some point.
