Anyone use/or did use, a tinted/smoke windshield? Esp on a I/S or their batwing. I have a clear on my batwing I got free but thinking about a smoke colored one for the 'looks'. How are they for driving at night and in the rain? I also thought instead about running a strip of tint on mine near the bottom of my pouches. Think it will stick on lexan?

I use some tint that is on with static on our helmet visors. It is mounted on the outside surface and i have never lost one. I ride with my visor up most the time. This makes a nice sun shade. Best of all it can easily be removed and there is no sign of it ever been there. I makes these myself.

Had a smoke tint shield on previous bike (Metallic gray).
Have smoke tint (Clearview) shield on Valk (Black).
No significant difference in changing conditions to me.
Essentially for curbside appeal.

I had a tinted one on my batwing fairing, it looked nice but I didn't like it at night. When cars came towards me I would get a glare and it was hard for me to see the road.  I switched to a shorter clear that I could look over.

I had a light tint on my IS, also 2 inches shorter, no problems at night.   cooldude
It is VERY lightly tinted, but you can see the difference up close.

I have a tinted on my bat wing with no issues but I don't look through mine.  I am considering a klockwerks shield and may do chrome on it and forget about seeing through it but it will look cool but I may do a light tint

Fudgie, I have had smoked and tinted shields on some of my Goldwings and Valks over the years. I liked them and didn't have any problems with them. I could see very well through them at night as they will cut down on headlight glare.  They also will protect windshield bags and dashes as they let through less of the harmful sun's rays and heat.
