She had a heart attack around 4 pm yesterday. She was thinking bad heart burn. At 7 pm no relief so we headed to the ER. Done EKG and showing having a heart attack. 9 pm in surgery and 10 finished. Had to have 3 stents put in. Back side of heart had a 100% blocked and 2 on the front side at 90% and 75%. Made it thru fine and hoping for her to come home tomorrow. They will not let me see her due to virus enhancement issues. Was a close call and scared me to think I might lose my soul mate.

Glad you got her there!!  A lot of times women have vague symptoms, rather than the classic heart attack symptoms.  A good thing for all of us to remember.

Prayers sent.

That was a close one David!  Glad that you got her to the ER in time!  As Connie said, women often have very vague symptoms and not the classic markers for heart attack.  However, heartburn is a classic symptom.

I suggest this incident be treated as a wake up call.  Diet and stress can both be factors.  My family history and my personal history are loaded with heart disease.  In my personal case, de-stressing has considerably slowed the progression of arterial blockage.

Praying for a full and speedy recovery.

David,
Whoa!   Thanks for letting us know.   She and you will be in my prayers.   Please, let me know if there is anything that needs to be done, handled or assisted with.

wow, glad you got her in and diagnosed in time sounds like you did everything right.

I know it ticks you off not able to see her due to Covid which is surprising they should allow 1 visitor per patient one would think?

Sunday my mom got taken to ER by ambulance and now one week or longer in hospital due to bowel obstructions sure hope surgery is last resort since with her tummy issues, etc.,  surgery is very risky.

The UW hospital (huge place) does not allow more than 1 visitor PER DAY for 1 patient.  It should be 1 visitor in building at ONE time NOT ONE per day, but whomever made that decision wants to limit exposure to Covid since there are several outbreaks in that hospital of Covid cases.   One guy came in grandpa of a children ER patient and he was ANGRY NOT allowing him in the building since ONLY allowed 1 person per patient PER DAY.  Security guards had to escort him out of the ER waiting room.

Thanks everyone for the kind words and prayers. They are very strict at the Heart Center. Would like to see her, but I don't make the rules. So hoping today may be the day she comes home, but would rather them hold her one more day and make sure on her condition.

Sending prayers for a full recovery from Virginia.  That is really tough not being able to be there with her.  We have had some issues this weekend with my wife's Afib, but I was able to be in the Naval Hospital with her over the weekend.  But last year I was in your shoes.  She had Covid Pneumonia and I had to sit outside the hospital or at home for 4 days until she was released.

Got her home around 5:30 this afternoon. Doing well. We removed her compression bandage. Was a little worried about that. Both of us was. But removed and no bleeding at all. cooldude. Now for her to relax and gain her strength back. Again thanks for all the prayers and kind words.

David,
I am extremely glad she's back home.   This is great news.
But, now that she's home. she'll have time to sit and think more about that "honey do list".
This could get interesting.  Cheesy

But, I'm glad she's home.

Being home is great news. I hope your wife has as good of luck as both me and my sister. We are both more than 20 years out from our heart attacks and stents. I've had it done twice, each a different location.
