Ok so tell me why I should not use an ebc brake  rotor and pads on the rear wheel of my 99 Valkyrie standard ? The price I got from Brakecrafters was $135  for the rotor as compared to a honda part.

Others use those. There’s no safety concern I know of. Some prefer to stay with OEM. Do what works for you.

From what I've read you'll be fine, but the prevailing wisdom is to make the rotor and pads match... Don't mix OEM rotors and EBC pads or vice versa...

I used the EBC wave rotors and OEM pads with no problem in the front and for the rear the EBC rotor and OEM pads since they do not make a wave for the back. I tried the EBC brake pads but did not like them either. The rotors are stronger than the OEM ones and will stand up to using the sintered pads but on this I could not get used to them.
