     this coming!  Roll Eyes A landlord has a poroperty in Eureka Ca, he bought in 2007 the tenants were seriously abusing the property and growing marijuana. LL goes to evict in 2020 and the pandemic puts the kybosh on that. The county inspectors evict ALL the tenants they do More damage upon exiting LL has 30 days to git building up to code or It WILL be torn down! w t f over? And with no money in the bank do to no rent payments he may lose his home and be homeless. And fer are resident naysayers-read the article on my msm home page like 25 minutes ago.I'd post the link if I knew how. But the whole cursed jist of my post IS in the opening line-NO ONE SAW THIS COMING???  uglystupid2 Oss-right in yer wheelhouse My Friend. Why on Earth wouldn't the building inspectors and L E Os help the LL before the fact? Before the LLs investment went in the crapper? RIDE SAFE.

It is almost like the government is daring vigilantism in the defense of property rights

I can not condone that, but well understand the frustration of hundreds of law abiding
people with a corrupt system that holds the owners
of property in contempt

Identical situation in NJ. Shore community, tenants stopped paying 2 years back. Eviction process started and then COVID stopped it. For a different reason the tenant wound up under a warrant and he and the wife skipped to Florida. They blew out a load bearing wall when they left causing major structural problems and now a town judge is after the owner to present a plan and schedule of repairs or face contempt.

LE says the warrant doesn’t work for extradition.

Homeowner is SOL and now local government is prosecuting him and insurance won’t pay.

It's a little bit more than simple property rights, when you consider than many have their entire life savings invested, and the ability to feed and support families at stake.  

Ask me to chose between family and (scamming holdover) renters.  That's an easy one.

Rent moratoriums (PC speak) is also a taking without due process of law.  And communism 101.

Regarding the "taking clause" above, is there a possiblity of a class action lawsuit that might be an option or is that already underway is someway/
