It pains me to do it but I'm going to list it on the Fl. board first. I'm going to keep riding....just not sure what that will be. F6B, Gold Wing, Concours, FJR?  Leaning toward the Wing or F6B but haven't settled on anything yet.

So here it is....99 Interstate, black. 53K on the odo. I bought it in 2012 with around 14k on the clock.

Grumpy did a carb rebuild, rear end service and tank swap with a Pingle valve about 5 or 6 years ago.
Darn I miss him.
The rear end has been serviced twice since then.
New battery in March.
Yokohama 205/60R16 car tire in March.
New timing belts 5k ago. Just didn't like the idea of 22 year old belts.
It will need a new front tire in the next 2K miles.
F4 Customs wind shield. Stock height but 2" wider.
Rattlebars grill.
Throttle lock.
Highway bars.
Hitch Doc trailer hitch. Only used that once.
Shiny desmog kit.
Cobra rider floor boards.
Chrome cam covers, front tank mount cover, rear brake pedal cover and trailing arm pivot covers. Also a chrome front fender extension.
All Balls bearings in front end.
Dampers and u-joint replaced at 25K.
I put a standard Valk tail light on rear fender with Radiantz LED kit. Was thinking of a Super Valk option.
Hondaline bag rails and trunk rack.
Mustang riders seat with back rest and pillion. All studded.
Jack adapter.
Service manual. Same shop manual the dealers use.

Rode up to Inzane again, in Oh. this year and over to Pa. after that with no issues. Wouldn't have any concerns doing it again now. I wouldn't take her to California without an oil change and new front tire though. And I just saw the left fork seal has developed a leak.

No fancy paint or super charged but she rides well. She doesn't get a bath regularly enough. She's a 22 year old bike with a lot of life left in her as we well know.

It's almost a steal at $3800. Text me for pics at 239-641-five-77-two. You can call too.
Thanks   Jeff

cooldude Well I feel your pain. I wasn't excited about letting my IS go but I kept Renegade. However, I only let my IS go because I bought my F6B and loving it.  smitten Good luck with your decision on your replacement bike.  coolsmiley

Jeff, that's a great price on a well kept Valk that should sell quickly,  you're welcome to test ride my 07 wing if you are up here in my neck of the woods. But what ever you decide to get I'm sure you will still be a part of the family here. Look forward to seeing you soon.

Kieth I hope the vacant spot in the garage doesn't stay that way long. I need my two wheel fix. It's a good thing your yellow and black B didn't come along a year later or it would be in my garage instead of yours. Grin

Mike thanks for the offer. I think it's sold to a guy from Jacksonville. I don't think he's on the forum....yet.

Grin  I know you liked it a lot. I did see there was a B for sale in Tampa on Craigslist. A very nice looking Black Shiney, looked well cared for with 25k miles i believe. Congrats on your sale, it was a good price. coolsmiley

I hear you Nick but the garage will only hold one bike. Maybe the real answer is to upgrade the garage. cooldude

Hello everyone.
I’m the new owner of Jeff’s bike.  cooldude
I’ve been looking into Valkyrie bikes for years.
If my memory serves me well, soon after I bought my 750 ACE in 2006.
I recently graduated from a VTX 1300, into a Valkyrie.
I’m very excited to finally call one my own.
Hopefully I’ll get to see some of you guys at the meet in Tallahassee.
Cheers

Hello everyone.
I’m sorry I didn’t make it to Tally.
Having small kids with both parents working full time complicates things a bit.  Lips Sealed

A couple of questions:
What tire pressure should I be keeping (front and back tires)?
I never had that heavy of a bike before and never dark side.
I’m asking because I had high speed wobble a couple of days ago and I wanted to check the easiest things first.

Also,
I’ve put almost 1500 miles on the bike and it’s getting time for the front tire as Jeff predicted.  Cool
Given the detailed description of the motorcycle, which front tire would you suggest for me ?

Thanks in advance

Hey Chris. I'm glad you're able to put some miles on her.
I kept the rear at 40 psi and the front around 38. If you run with the rear down around 32/35 psi it won't feel as stable as running at 40. The wobble you felt is probably from the wear on the front tire. Every bike I've had rides a lot better with new tires. cooldude

I agree, I had a small wobble (like I threw a weight) around 80. New tires took care of it. Glad your getting in ride time, doesn’t ever seem to be enough of it.

Have never ever had a dark side cause a wobble.
That is something we definitely do not want to "get started" as a cause for the naysayers out there!

Thank you all.
Any suggestions for the new front tire.
I can’t find much availability so I want to order them soon.

I have 12 email alerts set up for when any of the 4 makes of front tires comes back in stock at 3 different tire suppliers, I would use either the Avon, Metzler, Bridgestone, or Dunlop. The Shinko is available and I might go that route but I have some miles left on the current Dunlop.
Good luck in your search, let me know if you find a front 150/80/17

We have the same trouble locating equipment tires. They take weeks even if they are available. All parts are scarce.

Just installed the shinko journeys front and back on the interstate. Took about 100 miles the get use to them, but so far very happy with them.

The Tallahassee Gathering did not happen becasue of the weather. It was postponed until Nov.11-14. I believe there is 1 room left if you were to call the hotel. Same one as before StayBridge Inn. So if you get a chance to go we will see you there.  coolsmiley

Hey everyone.
Has anybody put this as a front tire on their interstate?
My local shop has it in stock and I can get it mounted and out of the door for $295.
I think overall it’s a good deal given all the shortages and the supply chain issues.
I’m just wondering if anyone has any experience with this size and type of tire.

Avon Roadrider MKII size 140/80/V17

Thank you in advance.

Some years ago, I tried an Avon Roadrider on front (I think it was a rear on front in as close-as-I-could-get-it size), and I didn't like it at all.  Slippery beyond release agent wear-off, and wore out quickly.

I don't remember the MK II though, so maybe that is a newer iteration?

I found Dunlop E4 tires in the recommended size using the Walmart app on my phone.
I paid 220 for it and it came in 4 days.
It is not sold by Walmart but it appears in Walmart’s market place.
