Nice to see a Valkyrie on the front of Wing World again.  It has been awhile.  They also have a nice article with the history of the Valkyrie and a personal story by the owner of the Red & Black Interstate on the Cover with 7 pages dedicated to the old and new Valkyrie.

Bet that'll torque some nuts in the Gold Wing crowd who've never considered the Valkyrie as their equal! Cheesy

How could it not be an equal,  all but NO reverse......  for the most part anyways....

If you look at the used pricing of sellers of a 1500 Wing vs. a 1500 Valkyrie usually the Valk is equal or more in price apples to apples comparison might be because a 1500 Wing is more out there to be had vs. a 1500 Valkyrie?

It's a different crowd that likes a different style of bike.   I'm sure they appreciate theirs as much as we do ours.   What I want to see is a Valkyrie on a Chopper Magazine as Tourer of the Decade.   I won't hold my breath.  Wink

After aquiring my long sought after 70's GL1000 and joining a couple FB forums for "old" Goldwings, I can vouch for the fact these folks are just as infatuated with and "religious" in their beliefs that the early Wings are the best bikes ever built, as we are with our Valks

We've had both bikes for over 10 years and have ridden with both groups for years.  In general very different types of people.  We are usually bored at most Goldwing events.  After dinner they all hang in their rooms or go to bed.  We've enjoyed the Vendors at Goldwing events but like most rallies Vendors are getting very hard to find in most motorcycle events other than the large Harley type rallies.
