I'll be mounting my Garmin 205W to the I/S before spring and found this mount.... http://www.ram-mount.com/NewProducts/MotorcycleClampMount/tabid/2038/Default.aspx. It say it will work as long as the Valk uses M8 bar clamp bolts. Can anyone verify this for me? This mount looks solid and simple and should put the GPS right where I want it.

Yep... according to http://www.hdlparts.com/fiche_section_detail.asp?section=148156&category=MOTORCYCLES&make=HONDA&year=1999&fveh=3467

The bolts are 8x32 (they are #14 on the fiche).

I mounted my RAM Ball on to my Top Clamp dead center, and I use a 3inch Ram Post and the GPS specific cradle.  I have a Power Port zip tied to the underside of the clamp on the handlebar actually.  I put it on plug it in and have an audio plug that extends from under the side cover up under the tank to the handlebars.... it plug in to my GPS for MP3 and GPS Audio in the AUX position.  When I remove it all you see is the ball on the top clamp and of course the power port under the top clamp.  The audio plug I slid into the zip tie to hold it in place.   I use a Garmin Nuvi 660......

I have a Garmin 255W. The pictures on the Ram Mount web site aren't that clear. Anybody got any idea what parts/pieces  are needed for my I/S? I've got an XM mounted on the left side already. Looking for ideas and what parts are needed from Ram Mount.

I bought this one http://www.ram-mount.com/CatalogResults/PartDetails/tabid/63/partid/082065077045066045049056054085045065/Default.aspx and it works great.  Just in case the link doesn't work, the part number is RAM-B-186U.  Enter that in the search bar at the top of the page and it will take you there.
You will need to look up the cradle that fits your Nuvi on the Ram website.  I bought mine from GPS City online.  They were a bit cheaper and shipping was less than from Ram.  Stan
