I have to ride to Florida to attend a PGR funeral for a relative. Anyone available to ride any or part of the way ?
If anyone can go the whole way, I will pay for room and food since I am going anyway.

I'm in SE AL but supposed to go North on Wed and be back early Sunday. Could meet you on the way back thru and ride part of the way across I-10. Chrisj along with several others are scattered across the Panhandle of FL. He's in Crestview, another in Spanish Fort, Mobile. Send me a message via this site with your contact info and would love to ride with you if the trip falls apart.

Im very near I-10 (exit 56) if that is a "pit stop" for you or if you need anything you can call me. I can meet you for coffee or help with anything that may be going on...you never know. My bike may be up for riding by your return trip, but doubt I will be able to ride it by Wed.

I have arranged my 'kitchen pass' and will be making the entire trip from Houston to Florida with 'Kiwi'.
Just to let you all know that he won't be alone.
Sometimes you just have to spend some time on the road with a 'brother'.
Hopefully we might see a few of you along the way.

I'm in Panama City. About halfway between where Chrisj is and Tallahassee. Are you traveling 13-18 Jan or 20-25 Jan? That will help planning. Give them some route details??? Yes, when you get them figured out some rough time details would help.

Realizing that this is VERY tentative. Kiwi and I just talked about doing this a couple hours ago. Departing early Wednesday morning, January 13th.
Scheduled to leave our homes at 6:00 and meet in Mont Belview at approx 7:00. Not having traveled together before, much will decided enroute. We are hoping to make Tallahassee that evening.
Microsoft Streets and Trips puts us in ChrisJ's area approximately 5:30 that evening. We do have his phone number.
Not sure Shaun just how you might wish to try to meet up and/or ride with us. Panama City is a good ways south of our direct I-10 plans right now.
Stormrider, current plans are to leave out of Stuart, Florida Sunday morning, I assume fairly early headed roughly back the same way we came. SE AL looks to be around 450 miles from there. Perhaps a meet up for a fuel stop and/or lunch.
Will just have to see when it gets closer.

Nehi, do you ever ride with the Patriot Guard Riders?
If so, I am sure we would welcome another Valk rider for Kiwi's relative's funeral.

kiwi, depends on how well you hold up on long rides. looks like 700 miles to Tallahassee. It will get dark on you by 5 PM Central time and turn pretty cold as soon as the sun goes down. Then another 400 miles to Stuart from Tallahassee. I may try to make Crestview and ride part of the way to Tallahassee. Still up in the air about my trip north.

Not sure Shaun just how you might wish to try to meet up and/or ride with us. Panama City is a good ways south of our direct I-10 plans right now. I figured that you could divert you plans and ride through Panama City. Duh. J/K. I figure if yall will have a meeting point to stop and stretch/hydrate/un-hydrate somewhere between me and Crestview area on I-10 I can meet there and will tag along until probably I-10/231 and head south from there back to home. This will all depend on the weather, hopefully (more for you guy's sake) the rain will hold off. I may also keep a heads up on return plans and tag along for a few miles then as well.

Shaun, not sure just how to try to meet up with you. Traveling like this is so dynamic, things can change whenever for whatever reason.
Right now, according to MS S&T we should be in Crestview area around 5:00. No idea how close that may be to accurate.
Perhaps if you could get back pretty soon with a phone number we could call when we have a better idea of arrival time.
My cell number is: 281-467-3909 Or home this evening: 713-723-4225
Not sure if I will be up early enough to check the board before actual departure in the morning.

Chris,
Sorry this has taken so long. It was great meeting you and thank you for the "penny".
It is going on the bike keyring, and the cross will be getting a tiny hole drilled into it to hung on my car mirror with fishing line.
Ride safe. maybe saee you in Daytona. I still have the map to your parking. "kiwi"
