I have read of tilting an I/S fairing/windshield by placing a 1 inch spacer at the lower mounting point, what were the results?

Thanks

This is what I have read regarding tilting the fairing.

Take the back side of the fairing off on each side (approx 6 screws each side).
Look under the fairing, you will see a bolt slightly forward of the fork holding the lower mounting point of the fairing. Remove the bolts (one on each side).

Tilt the fairing back slighty to create approx a 1 inch space. A piece of medal with two holes, 1 inch on center, can be bolted to the orignal mount and then to the fairing mounting point. Of course the head lights will have to be readjusted.

This as I understand, actually allows the air turbulance to be lifted a little highter because the angle af attack is a little more stream lined.

Makes sense but before I do this, I was wanting some input from someone whom has actually tried this.

Hopefully some one will see this post share their experience.

One of our members here in Des Moines triked his I/S and added a raked tree.  He had to tip his fairing because he couldn't get the headlights adjusted properly.  I believe he tipped it forward because he said his headlights were shining on overhead signs on the highway.
