     I've ALWAYS had light sensitive eyes. As I age seems to get worse. da prez Tommy Tail Gate and I were headin West from I-16 and I had to give up lead cuz I was being blinded by the near setting sun. Crystal clear sky NOT one cloud to be found. And at the time I had a pair of polarized clip ons and polarized sorta wrap arounds that I've been using still do from wally wurld. Since my cataract surgery the sunlight seems Way More Intense. So any suggestions that DO NOT cost an arm and a leg and 1 or 2 Grandchildren?  And as Always-T I A.  Oh maybe should mention-any sunglasses NEED to go Over my everyday glasses. THIS IS a Must Do. Again-T I A. RIDE SAFE.

They sell fold down sun visors to clip on the existing car visors.

Wearing your shades, and adjusting your visor visor should help a lot.

I always wear polarized prescription glasses riding.  Sometimes, I flip down my tinted helmet visor on top of them to double up.

There was one spot on my drive home from work (back in the day), when at the right month of the year, driving up this hill, the sun blinded every single driver so badly it was like everyone had their eyes closed.  Brake lights, and just creeping up the hill, all 300 of us.

Old2soon - have you told you my theme song while driving lately ?
"I wear my sunglasses at night".... I can literally drive on a cloudless full moon  night without headlights - they're on only because it's legally required.

I do not step outside during the day without sunglasses / polarized clipons on. I do not even like looking outside without them on. When the time comes for cataract surgery (I just barely had the faintest stain last summer) , I'm going to need aviator sunglasses...

black electrical tape  2inches wide (means 2 or 3 rows) across the bottom of the face shield on your
fulll face or modular helmet
You can lift it or lower it depending on where in the sky the sun is hitting your eye(s)

I know Britman has also done this before   I started doing this in 2005

When my in-laws go to the eye doctor and get their eyes dilated, they always come out of there with sun glasses that I love. They don’t look stylish though. Matter of fact, I should run over there and get some.

I wear I guess what you would call a 3/4 helmet.  It has a snap on visor.  I've taken a #4 welders oxyacetylene cutting shield.  Cut off the bottom 2-3" and hot melt glued it to the end of the bill on the visor. With a small nod up or down I can ride right at the setting Sun with no issues.  If I new how, ide love to post a picture of this set up.  I think it would sell. A #3 is a bit lighter shade, a #5 is really dark.

I ran tape across the top 1.5 inches of my internal visor, so that with it flipped down it works as a sun shade/blocker.

any of the blu-blocker types lenses they use all kinda names now is all I use.  they even have them in safety lenses which I use.

to continue I use these, they fit tight against the face so dirt stays out of the eyes.

have not done it lately, but certain places, for an addtl charge,  can do darker shades of tint into sunglasses if you wanted to.

My prescription sunglasses I use daily is just the normal tint which is good enough for me even can drive with them on AT NIGHT if had to but not recommended.  IN bright sunlight without them on bothers me as well too darn bright out normal sunny days, but the longer I am out without sunglasses on the more my eyes adjust to the brighter light.

I worked for 3 years as a melting foreman in an Iron foundry.  I had a pair of flip-up lenses that clipped to my hard hat visor.  They worked great for watching the flow of molten Iron at 1800-2000 degrees F.  I did a quick search but could not find a supplier, but I'm sure they would work great if you could find them.

I wear dark tinted sunglasses, a full face helmet with a flip down sun visor and a dark tinted faceshield. I still use electrical to totally block when needed. It only takes a few seconds to change out the faceshield to a clear one if I’m out after dark.

     Well I've come up with a sort of Good stop gap for the immediate future. Went back to my optometrist and was going to purchase another pair of glasses with a bit smaller vertical lens size and those would have been tifgt around a C note and a slight bit more. One of the Nice Ladies there pulled out a box and lo and behold after a bit of huntin she came up with a pair of dark brown shades with the polarizing lens. 65 bucks later I was on my way. Looked em up on Amazon and I did Not overpay at the optemetrist. They are Juhnathan Paul Original Fits Over. We've had clear blue skies and bright sunshine the last couple days so I'll see how they fair in the long run but so far so good!  And lest I Fergit-thanks fer All the Good suggestions and I also KNOW I Will be lookin fer some Blo Blockersa.
