I posted this yesterday on the general board and it was suggested that I post here,so. I don't have any directionals.I had what I would call a funky switch before I took it apart. I cleaned it and lightly greased the parts. So now when I flip the switch to left or right and let it go and no directionals, but if I hold the switch in either position the directionals work.I tried a friend's relay and a signal minder that I`ve had for a long time.I took out the Jersy Mike's signal boss thinking that maybe something failed in that.It was suggested on the general board that the grease may be the problem or that I may have put it back together wrong.I have taken it apart several times and all looks as it should. Now getting back to the the grease,I watched a video on the procedure that someone put a link to and it looks as though I followed the procedure, except for unscrewing to Philips head on the lever itself.I am thinking that the switch itself is the culprit but I will take it apart one last time before buying a new one .Any thoughts?

If you used dialecric grease, it may be insulating the contacts.

Do you get the correct blinking when you turn on the key to indicate the time delay?

Do you have the installation instructions for thr Jersey module? The Jersey installs springs in the switch to return it to center. That might account for having to hold it if the Jersey lost it's settings. Doesn't account for the latest condition you posted. Perhaps contact Jersey for some advice.

He may have seen this before.

Did you install the foam or springs in the switch box?  Sounds like you didn’t

Well I've had the signal boss for a few years with no problems until now. I think  my switch is bad, always returns to center turning blinker off unless I hold it . The switches aren't cheap but I would rather buy new.

Ok took springs out directionals work fine,I guess those springs are only for signal boss.Been a while thought those were part of original switch. Thanks Chris and yes Mooskee your right about the signal boss losing its timing thanks.Maybe Jersey Mike will chime in and set me straight, because I can`t find the instructions
