Any day that you ride is a good day!

A bunch of cowards hijacked 4 airplanes and perpetrated the worst attack that has ever happened on US Soil.

Say what you want but I learned everything that I ever needed to know about Islam that day.

For the last 20 years we have been safe from a repeat attack.

Current world events have placed us back at risk for such an event to happen again.

I pray that it doesn't but I fear that it will.

With out Presidential declaration or authorization, I lowered my US flag to half staff this morning at dawn.   It will remain there until sunset.

While in Boston that night when I got back to the room and watched the news. I saw students from University of Buffalo in the streets cheering and having a grand ole time. They were having a heck of a party.
I'm glad I wasn't nearby.

this is how I want to remember them, having been in them often for Court of Claims, on the one observation deck and also Windows on the World for a brunch

But I can't

My uncle Dave was chief electrician on the building of the towers and my friend's dad Akira (who was in a relocation Japanese camp as boy in WWII) was the head of building the antenna

Both heroes with nerves of steel and balls bigger than anyone I know today

Both now dead having outlived the Towers  They both were modest men who just did their job as if the world depended on them

This has always been a painful day.  This year more than ever, it feels like a scab has been ripped from our slowly healing wound and our nation is bleeding profusely again.

I pray we have the foresight and vision to prevent another even more horrific event.  Today as our current leaders refer to those who provided sanctuary to our enemy and enabled the attack as, "professional and businesslike", I fear for our great Republic more than ever before.

GOOD BLESS AMERICA!  NEVER, EVER FORGET!

Saw this interview live yesterday, it was quite long and this is only a clip. It was very powerful.  I will try to find and post the extended video.

Full video (about nine minutes) might as well watch the whole thing.

Painful to watch, important to see.

A day of sadness, anger, and admiration.  Sadness for lives lost; anger at the murdering evil that killed them; admiration at so many brave that went into the failing towers to rescue others.

Today some woke teachers are telling young students to not blame the guilty.  We have at least two members of Congress that would identify with the murderers and we have surrendered to the supporters that twenty years ago sheltered the guilty.  Those supporters have not changed their intents.

Sadly with many the "We will never forget" has faded in less than twenty years.

We are still at war.

The client I had that Trial for right after Inzane this year was an EMT first responder at the WTC

He was there for months pulling out body parts and still has night terrors every night

He lost a bunch of buddies and watched people who jumped to their deaths

Proud to call him a friend.  Proud to be an American

Yes do not forget what happened and continue to fight for our freedoms
\
Got this on the 1st ground zero charity ride for families of the 1st responders that late October  My windshield is scratched pretty bad but not taking this off as long as I can ride the bike

I spent my morning watching several documentaries about 911.

Then spent the rest of my day watching my granddaughter play at the beach.
She watched some of the documentaries with me this morning.

I explained it as best as I could to a 6 yr old.

I hope that she has some understanding and I'll continue to talk to her about it as long as I'm alive.

As a FF Paramedic (now retired) I lost 343 brothers that day.

As I watched her playing on the beach I felt thankful to them and to all of the soldiers who served in Iraq and Afghanistan over the past 20 years.

They made today possible for her.

I pray that good men and women will always be willing to stand up and defend our freedoms.

I also pray that she will never experience a day like 9/11/2001
