Hello all,
I have a 98 Toured that I've recently done a carb overhaul on. I am having some problems now and it seems like I'm only firing on 3 or maybe 4 cylinders.  I was hoping to onnect with someone local to have a look since none of the dealerships will work on the bike now.

Post on the British Columbia site. Gordonv and MSB both have a lot of knowledge.

Thanks, but we're across the board and have no chance to look. Most likely you've done them wrong. Those ports are small, and unless you had them in cleaner in an ultrasonic bath, they're still plugged.

Me, I'm more in trying 1-2 cans of Berryman's B-12. Get at Wally world, only $4 (?). 1/2 a can in 1/2 a tank of fresh fuel. Drive the bike at what ever rpm is giving you trouble. If you don't seem to be getting any results on the 2nd tank, then you need to clean it again.

There is a nice series on youtube on the Valk carb. Search in the Tech section, then ask questions there. I've not taken a carb apart since I was in my teens. I do have a complete set of 6 carbs as a spare/loaner, but unknown condition. Supposedly removed for a Turbo install when the bike was young.
