Half mile flat track race in Hastings MI.

So Saturday Oct 2nd, Aquaman, Romeo, and I went to the flat track races.  We also met Gary House and Bernie Galloway there later in the day and then went out for dinner.  It was a great time!  Very low key event, we were able to stand at the fence next to the track coming out of turn four.  Riders were coming by within 10 feet or less of us.  I have some still shots, but don't know if I can post videos with out loading them on YouTube.  If you have farce book, you can see the videos at the Michigan Valkyrie Riders Cruisers Club (MIVRCC) on FB.



























Former AMA multi-time Champion Jay Springsteen was there (grey shirt) and rode an exhibition race against another former champ Kevin Atherton.

never seen live a dirt track cycle race, but few times did see cars on dirt tracks flinging dirt and rocks at us if stood too close to the fencing.  Man,  who would've thought dirt and rocks HURT A TON just lucky no eyes were lost.  I like the smell of that racing fuel they also use....

A friend had a Goldie, great bike. I couldn't afford one back then.

I had to use Bultaco, Ducati until I could afford a Triumph. [ not saying there is anything wrong with Buls or Dukes, great rides]/
