So many colors to choose from yet so few stand out

I know this is going to sound silly and probably kind of dumb but, I've tried every tool I have that I think might be applicable to the task to remove the stock horn bracket from the frame (right behind the radiator).  I don't have a wrench or socket that will fit into that space.

Is there a special tool required for this.   The only option I can come up with is to bend the horn bracket to get to the bolt holding it.    I don't mind bending that bracket but, when I go to re-install the new horn, I don't want to have to bend that chrome bracket knowing that will result in the chrome cracking and eventually breaking off.

What am I missing?

Ron, I removed mine when I got the Stebil Horn. I don’t remember it being hard nor did I need special tools. However I don’t remember what I did but I know I didn’t have to mutilate it in any way. I still have it.

Shoot me a picture of how it looks, maybe it will jog my memory

If it's a wrench clearance issue, the flat honda toolkit wrenches are skinnier than most others.

your making it harder than it needs to be. if i remember correctly. you can remove horn and bracket with a socket. i think it a 12 or 13 mm.

Correct.

I bought I/S horn brackets for every Standard or Tourer I've owned, fabricated some extension wires and relocated the horns. The whole thing can be put back to stock in 15min if desired...but on my current Tourer there's now a radiator pod blocking things.

Rick,
That's what I do.   I'll try again.   cooldude
