Saw one like that at a competition where all vehicles had to be "man powered".   He had a mechanism setup where he bounced up and down to lever to power the bike.  the competition required the vehicles to go on street, up rock roads, across loose sand, and in water.

I had a bed like that.  If you worked hard at it, it would move around the room.  I was (much) younger then.    Grin
