I was need'n some chrome to fulfill my addiction and needed to go visit with Troutdude and was waiting on an opportunity to make that journey south. This was necessary in that Dennis is my closest dealer of the highly sought after and addictive chromium...........

We talked about different times/dates when it would be convenient for both of us. My craving due to this addiction was haunting me on a daily basis. He had what I wanted/needed and was willing to make the no longer produced chromium available.

It was determined that yesterday would be the day because a mutual friend would be there also. So, I set the plan in motion. Let a few others from the general Hattiesburg area know about the opportunity, only one was available to make that short trip. Less than a hundred miles.
So, anyway David (Warlock) and I made plans to meet at Sandy Hook, MS at 0645 and travel on south on two lane roads to Troutdude's home. There we met up with Troutdude, DDT and Jeremy, Troutdude's neighbor and one other neighbor that I don't remember his name. First, our small group went to breakfast at a local restaurant (Fat Spoon) where the waitresses were very accommodating and entertaining. They actually came over to visit numerous times and the service was outstanding. They were able (when challenged) to accurately determine which bike/trike belonged to each individual. That was fun. Both of these young'ns were invited to go take a ride with us by one of the "dirty ole men" in the group but though both indicated it would be fun, they couldn't leave work like that. The fact that they had their priorities straight in life made them even more fun. Regardless, we all left solo like we expected to.

We were just have'n some fun folks.
After breakfast, we returned to Troutdude's home where some parts were purchased and stories were told, tires were kicked and insults were passed back and forth with great enthusiasm. Everyone was laughing and having a grand ole time. Was a wonderful day. David and I departed and returned home along the same two lane road until we split up, he went his way and I went mine.
One of the best times I've had since the last Valkyrie get together. Just goes to prove,
you meet the nicest folks on a Honda and the best on a Valkyrie. These are folks I'm proud to call my friends.
Sorry, didn't think to get any pictures. Some of us ain't all that pretty anyway

but, it was good to see these friends again. It's not just about the ride, for me, it's the camaraderie we share.
