The devil tried to keep us from even going this year... I was
installing Carolyn's seat on The Log Truck... when I removed
my seat, there was a mouse nest! I hoped they hadn't
chewed any wires!

Their nest was made of a material from the workshop shed.
They must have made it when I was refurbishing the slave
cylinder a few months ago. The Log Truck spends almost
all of its time in the smaller shed. There was a snake skin
in the nest, I guess they got what was coming to them?

They exclusively chewed the wires to my CB. Which
I don't have... just a pigtail left over from when I
removed it when I got the bike in 2007. I just taped
them up so they weren't bare or touching each other
and called it good.

The devil hit us again half way there. There's a mile
long construction zone on the road to Hayesville.
We got stuck for an eternity... maybe even a half
hour... as cars took turns trickling through the single
open lane.

On average the normal amount of hijinks took place
Friday and Saturday evening. Everyone made a big
deal of Joe's impending retirement with a cake and
everything.

Saturday was The T-Bird Ride... there were two
of Terry's bikes there, Brian and Theresa have
the black interstate...

Dennis and Shelia have the yellow bike...

In retrospect, I was glad to have been a few bikes
back from the yellow bikes...

Willow came all the way out here for another ride, and I
caught him on the spy cam...

Sunday morning...

They'll have to keep the fires burning till next year...

Thanks Mike.  cooldude

Quit feeding the mice.  Grin

I once fired up the wife' 800a Kawi (in spring), and the resident air cleaner mouse got instantly cooked.

He was small, but had a big smell.

I’m glad to see Willow getting to roll up some miles and not have to be a workhorse when he arrives.

Thanks for posting, Mike!

Standing on the bridge at Bald River Falls and riding near Trout Dude was strangely reminiscent of something

It was an honor to participate in my brother T-Bird's last ride!  angel

Regarding the amount of hijinks that took place Friday and Saturday evening, the cable crew from Arkansas was greatly amused and there is a new world's record for the women's 20 yard dash in the semi-annual Beat the Clock event, now held by Sondra from Germany.

Stanley's standings took a tumble in the men's event.  Grin

Always a great time, hope I left enough logs on the fire for next year's return.

Mike,

Good job, as always! Nice event this year... Heck, they all are, but each one is unique and special, also. I'm mighty glad I made it after all... It was really nice chatting with you and Carolyn again, as well... See ya at the next one!
