Due to the previous night's activities, I got a little later start home than intended.  I didn't leave until 1030hrs and after a few traffic slowdowns on I75, I finally arrived home at 2030hrs.  I started the trip by meeting Roger in Lewisburg, IN on Thursday and taking the long cut meeting up with Dennis M and Jimmy T on the way down.  We stopped at the Buffalo Trace distillery, but the giftshop line was too long to bother with.  I eventually split off from the group, they headed into Clinton and I headed for the Binkmore Estate in Vonore, TN.  I had to fight off Binky's guard dog Belle.

Here she is guarding me while I have coffee and watch her mom on poop patrol.

After breakfast, Binky and I met up with the usual suspects in Tellico Plains and headed to Bald river Falls for the start of TBird's last ride.  I was on my Goldwing that I bought from DoYouSeeWhatHappensLarry's Wife Jane (TwoBottles).  After DYSWHL was cremated, I asked Jane for some of his ashes to carry with me on the bike, so DYSWHL was in attendance as well.

After Bald River Falls, It was up over the Cherohala Skyway to spread some of TBirds ashes at the highest point.

Then it was off to the motel where the usual suspects met up and engaged in various acts of tomfoolery.  Joe and Reb set up a little Redneck Memorial to TBird.

This ride usually marks the end of my riding season, and is one of my favorites.  There is no way you can attend, and not have a good time.

Thanks to Binky and Jill for their hospitality and to Joe for another great ride.

Joe,

Excellent report! I do like your style and the way you write... This was a very special weekend for sure, but I almost missed it. Very glad now things worked out the way they did. Always good seeing and jawing with you... I look forward to the next time. FWIW, I don't put our girl away for the winter, I just change our cruising range! Now that you're retired, you might want to consider that...

@Joe Thanks again, let me know what you think of your retirement gift when you get it.

@henry You missed a good one.

@Robin Always good to see you and Judy.  I hope the drive heal up soon.

@Bruce It was always my plan to move south.  The wife put a hitch in that plan but I haven't give up yet, still working on it.  Then I'll extend the riding season.  Always a pleasure conversing with you and gaining your perspective on things.  Come on spring!

Likewise Binkie.  Scratch Jill and tell Belle I said hello, or visa versa, what ever works.
