I’m posting this here on the main page because I don’t believe it should be on tje P&M board.
This is just current info and can be locked if moderators feel it’s a good idea, I’m not posting it for comments.
Do with this info as you please.

It's OK to mix and match COVID-19 booster shoots. Which one should I get?

I had the option of choosing a different booster but as Moderna is showing the best long term results, I stuck with that one.
From what I've been reading the mix and match is mostly aimed at people who received the Johnson&Johnson vaccine, it started off with the lowest efficacy and has dropped off quickly as time goes by.
Having a booster of one of the mRNA vaccines brings a recipient of the J&J vaccine up to much better levels.

Booster for me next week. Probably Moderna if they have it., Pfizer if they don't (my base is also Moderna).
Wife got her's a week ago, wanted to have it take effect before she starts chemo / radiation therapy. We need to see primary care about possible insulin for her - when we talked to the chemo doc thursday, we were on him about how chemo will affect her - he stated permissible range was 50-500, we very very rarely go above 200. I want the insulin at home so I can start treatment immediately if she is skyrocketing past 500 before we go to the ER or urgent care. Low- we now have glucose tablets at home after a couple low sugar levels after surgery.
