I'm wondering if you can put a 130/90/17 tire on the front rim or is it too narrow for our stock rims?

Yes I’ve seen a post or two where it’s been done but couldn’t remember if it was a Valkyrie or not.

Yes, it fits (and holds air).

Gold Wings all use 130s.

I tried an Avon 130 (Roadrider) and did not like it at all.  And got 6K.  There are better choices.

I tried a Michelin Commander II in 140 (and I think 65), and it was a sticking great tire, but I only got 6-7K.

I use a Dunlop D404, 130/90H-17 Rear Tire with Reverse Rotation. Keep the air pressure at 40 lb.
This my 3rd one. I averaged  about 17 to 18,000 miles on the first two. Could have gotten more, but I rather be safe than sorry.

Great info thanks guys. I’m thinking about running a Bridgestone battlax BT-46 rear tire on the front. 130/90/17.

Yes but it won’t be tall enough. 105 mm sidewall compared to 117 mm
