'98 Standard named Hildr

Hope everyone had a fun and safe Halloween.  Sunday was a beautiful day for a ride out in the Texas Hill Country.  But first, Hildr and I had to stop by my warehouse to get a little work done...

Then, we -- me and Hildr the Valkyrie -- headed out towards Cypress Mill via Hamilton Pool Road.  We found Old Cypress Mill Road had reopened after being closed for an extended time due to a bridge being built over a treacherous low water crossing.  That crossing was so bad that a nearby rancher had taken it upon themselves to post a home made a sign warning motorcyclists to take caution.

Anyway, onwards towards Stonewall via 1320, 2721 and 1623.  There's a clean rest stop on Park Road 1 that sits along the Pedernales that's one of my usual pitstops...

More spectacular Hill Country views as we passed through Albert (looked like a private function was happening at the dance hall).  Then a quick fill up in Blanco which marked the turn towards home point.

We stopped at the Blue Barn at the intersection of 165 and 2325 in the hopes of picking up a Dia de los Muertos cook book, but they had sold out.  Nevertheless, I got a pic of Hildr amongst the Marigolds...

Apparently, it's Marigold season...

Made it home in time for some pizza and the start of Game 5 of the World Series.  The Astros took the game in Astros style and are headed back home for Game 6.

Go 'Stros!

Always look forward to your posts Charlie, as usual always great ride report. We did get out for the weekend to Brady, did wine tasting at “Wines of Dotson-Cervantez Winery” in Voca, ate BBQ at the Original Coopers in Mason, capped off with a day in SA at Fogo de Choa. Weather was great. Although we didn’t ride Red Diamond, we drank wine with this Indian rider.

If you are riding  and it is a must that you keep your eyes on the road, you are riding too fast.
