I'm getting ready to place an order with the O-ring store,  https://www.theoringstore.com/store/    and want to add some pilot screw o-rings to the order as I am going to be going through the carbs again sometime soon and have never replaced them.  Does anyone know the dimensions of that o-ring?  I am aware of the kits everyone, including Redeye, sells, but only require the o-rings.

I have never needed an o-ring in any common formulation that they don't have in stock, and cheap.

The cross section and the inner diameter are what I need, thanks

That shows the part with #6 Ron, but does not give the critical data on the o-ring, thanks.

Thanks Savage, is 4.3 the ID or OD?  I don't have a free pilot screw to measure. I wonder where you got the info,,, I couldn't think of anywhere to find it.

The dimensions were listed in the link Ridingron posted.  As to what they represent I'd guess 1.3 to be the thickness and 4.3 to be the OD

ETA: I just noticed #14 is the drain screw o-ring not the pilot o-ring.  The pilot o-ring is listed as part group #6 "Screw Set" and does not list dimensions as far as I can tell.  I remember some of the little o-rings were the same size when doing a rebuild but I don't recall which ones they were.

Yeah,,  one of the reasons I asked Savage where the information came from, he may also have mistakenly seen that as the pilot screw.   Then again, they MAY be the same size?

I may just forget ordering them from the O-ring store, and order one of those cheap Valkyrie rebuild kits from eBay under the assumption that the O-rings and gaskets are Viton GF and the correct size, and see if any of the other parts are useable.    Anyone have any experience with those kits?

So I went out and started digging in my parts bin and found a old pilot screw and o-ring.  While the o-ring is flattened from being old I think I have fairly close measurements for you to go off of.

Pilot screw OD is 3mm
O-ring OD is 5mm
O-ring Cross Section is 1.0 - 1.3mm

So if the Pilot Screw OD is 3mm the o-ring needs to be 3mm ID by 5mm OD,  That leave for 1mm cross section.

If I were going to order some I'd probably go with 1-1.2mm cross section by 5mm OD.  I'd probably lean more toward 1.2mm just to make it a little tighter but they're probably cheap enough you could order a variety of sizes for a few bucks.

Yea I ordered an Ebay kit and found nothing fit other than the drain screw o-ring.  Jets were wrong, needles were wrong, Bowl seals and vacuum chamber seals wrong literally everything was wrong.  Wasted a week of my time dealing with that.  After that I ordered All Balls kit from Amazon and haven't looked back.  Ordered a second set for another bike same year and both kits were perfect.  Sometimes trying to save a little money ends up costing me a lot of time. lol

Appreciate the heads up on the eBay kit,, I don't need the wasted time.

Adding to the O-ring store order leaves a lot of choices although inexpensive.

Red eye still shows some pilot screw kits in stock, or I may just do an All Balls kit and be prepared.

Thanks Timbo

Apologies, it appears I read & listed the wrong size for that o-ring.
Thanks for the correction.
