Adding a IS trunk to a standard question.

As the title suggests I'm adding a IS trunk to a standard. The question I have is will the additional lights add to much load for the existing running / brake lights circuits if I just tie into the existing circuits? Should I add relay's or other options? My intention is to leave both fender and trunk lights operational as brake / running lights and blinkers only on fender license mount.

I've run them either way.
Best approach is to convert everything to LEDs and install an LED compatible signal flasher. I did this with my current Tourer and previous I/S, both of which have/had a full complement of lights.

Even with just bulbs, the Valk charging system can handle that easily.
The trunk lights are all some weird small stab bulbs anyway, not even 1156/1157s.
LED turn signals have caused me so much grief, I would never do it again. (multiple bikes)

Thanks guys,
I'll just tie in to existing circuits. I like the kiss approach so tying in should get the job done pretty easy.

I recently added the truck to my standard and went ahead and re-did all the wiring so I could make the trunk lights stop/brake/signals and installed LEDs everywhere.
I used LED 5 pin (waterproof) IPN connectors so I could unplug the whole thing and take it off if needed, added a PC8 Beaver and cleaned up the rat nest old me (who didn't know better 20yrs ago) left behind.
