I have a hitchdoc for my IS and want to attach it using a bag drop system.  Has anyone done it and what advice do you have.  I have not been able to get a threaded rod for the m10 x 1.25 size yet, but continue to search.  What did you use for spacing?  I will be taking things apart this spring for a new tire and thought that would be a good time to get things set up with the bag drop.  Rattlebars doesn't work with a hitch.  Thanks.

Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.

When I did mine, I used 3/8ths x 16 allthread from Lowe's.  I used the original spacers between the rails and the hitch, bought additional chrome spacers at Ace Hardware to use between the hitch and the bag mount and put a chrome low crown acorn nut holding the bag mount on the allthread.  As I had performed the nut cage mod when I went DarkSide, I used 5/16ths allthread in place of the 8mm. I put a nylock nut with a washer inside the fender.  To keep the 5/16ths allthread from turning while tightening or loosening the acorn nut, I removed the fender rail and installed a nut and washer under it.  I then drilled out the hole for the 8mm bolt to allow it to fit over the nut and washer.

I have the system you want. I found allthread rod in the 10x1.25 pitch from another member. He bought a 1 meter length rod from a nut/bolt supply house. He then sold me enough to do my job. As was said; Ace hardware has all the chrome spacers and nuts you need. Another solution might be to use 10x1.5 pitch and do a nut cage mod and remove the original fender nut and use a standard 10mm nut inside and outside the fender.
