I have a picture with a .PNG extension and need to change to .JPG but can't seem to get the job done. Just renaming it doesn't work, what am I missing. Used to do this all the time at work but that was nearly 20 yrs. ago so the grey matter hasn't been stirred like that in many years.  Wink

John,
I believe you can open the .png file in Microsoft Paint, select 'File', 'Save As' and select JPEG.
That should do it.

Yeah, just changing the extension won't change the format the image is in. Most image viewing/editing software should let you do it, load the image up, then do File -> Save As and look for a type in the drop down...

If ya' can't get it straightened out, feel free to e-mail the image to me and I'll get it converted and sent back to ya'...

Any number of us would be glad to help, but Serk's directions are pretty straight forward.
