Good Morning Campers!
Let's get an early start on the Camping investigation this year.
The last time at Billings several of us camped at the KOA "Resort".
Personally, I was very unimpressed with the site I was given, and the overall responsiveness of the staff there. There was an underground water leak at our site and the personnel were not very helpful in regard to the mud and mess they made during the repair. (They dug a six-foot hole right behind our RV and splattered mud on EVERYTHING.)
I will look at every other reasonable option before going back to KOA.  I feel it was overpriced as well.
Please add any information to this thread about campgrounds in the area.

I checked the App AllStays and there is little selection unless you can boondocks somewhere. There is an independent place close to the KOA. Yellowstone River Campground. 2 star rated. There are some campgrounds if you don't mind a drive.

If you aren't familiar with AllStays App, check it out.

The wife and I intend to truck camper and trailer a bike to the area. And would also be interested in any information on camping spots close to where the event will be held. If not at the event. This is where I'm having difficulty. I have seen nowhere as of yet any information on where Inzane will be held at in 2022 as of yet. Where shall I look?. Will there be designated events and gatherings along with planned rides?. Thank you in advance for any information you can share with me.

We just registered at the KOA and we got a patio site and there was only 2 left according to the KOA site. If you are wanting to camp there you might want to check and see how many sites are left so you don't miss out.

Do we know where ground zero is going to be?

Not yet. As soon as you register (which we can't do yet) you are told.
That always puts a slight crimp in the research for a place to camp.

Good Morning Campers!
Well, after several mental struggles with myself, I decided on the Billings Village RV Park. It is 1.9 miles (6 minutes) from Ground Zero.
The final deciding factor was a very pleasant conversation with the nice lady answering the phone.
Her pleasant attitude and the fact of allowing washing of motorhomes and campers (for a very small fee of $5 for a tow and $10 for an RV) convinced me they were my kind of folks. The paved sites versus the gravel at most other places helped too. We stayed at the KOA last time and found it VERY MUCH NOT to our liking.

The price is $62.50 per night for full hookups, including WiFi and Cable. there is a 10%discount for Military, Good Sam, and AAA members. The online system will guarantee a site that meets the requirements you reserved, but for an additional $15 (per reservation) you are guaranteed the specific site you reserved.
We'll be in site #7. I looked at the park on satellite and the trees were the final deciding factor.
We should be set up early in the day on Sunday the 12th.
Hope to see you there!

Gosh, is there more than one KOA there?   We parked at a KOA and had a great time but, to be honest all we did was return to the fifth wheel trailer after dark and were back out riding as soon as we got up the next morning.

There was a water leak from below ground at our site and as soon as I got parked and level (on gravel) they asked me to move the coach. I moved forward as much as possible and re-leveled. They then proceeded to dig a six-foot-deep hole in the mud and paste most of it on the back of my coach.  The management made no effort to find another spot for us or give us a break on the (in my opinion) overpriced rent. No, we won't be staying there again.

When I was growing up we tent camped at KOA's all the time. We had "no excess funds" when I was a kid so I was really shocked to see the current KOA prices.

I was going to register here, but if I share a Ground Zero room, it's the same price.

I'd probably come out cheaper to rent a room versus driving the Toy Hauler all that way, but it's more about sleeping in my own bed and enjoying the trip to and from for us.
