As I've got a feeling I may have punctured the no.16 hose (C), above, with a thin Phillips screwdriver, could someone give me the spec of the type of hose I need to purchase?
I'm fitting a Pingle and have decided to change the fuel line. I believe I'm correct in needing an 8mm ( internal) line from "T" fitting to new petcock. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Whilst I'll be removing the vacuum line from petcock to #6 carb I might as well freshen things up and change the lines joining #3 and #4 carbs and Pair Control Valve. Could you also please give me the spec of these vacuum lines? I'll also need the hise to the airbox.
I have already ordered new vacuum caps.
Thank you.

You can remove all that with a desktop kit. Cleaner looking and less chances of any vacuum leaks. Also when you replace fuel line, keep it short, same as factory. If fuel line is too long it can get bubbles and stop (or slow) the flow of gas.

What is a desktop kit?

Desmog kit.  Redeye or other.

This is everything that can come off the bike.  It is not a performance improvement, it's a reliability improvement (rotting, punctured, failing vacuum lines)/

^^ Thanks, Jess.
Funnily enough I've just emailed Rich at Redeye to see if he can supply me with my needs.
I don't want to go down the desmogging road just yet. I'd rather get used to the bike as standard for a while, as a relatively new owner.

I believe I'm correct in needing an 8mm ( internal) line from "T" fitting to new petcock.

8mm is correct for the line from the T to the petcock.
Stock length is 8 inches (20.32cm). If I recall, I had to shorten mine slightly for my Pingle because the connection on the Pingle was slightly closer to the "T". I started with 8 inches (20.32cm), and when I put my tank in place saw that it was slightly closer, so I trimmed it. It might have been a 1/2 inch (1.25cm) or so. You do not want it to sag.

The lines from the T to each fuel rail are 10mm tubing. In the states we often use 3/8 inch (9.525mm).

I prefer to use 6-12mm Stainless Steel hose clamps on all the connections.

I buy all the stuff in bulk for my carb rebuilds, and could supply it to you cheaper than going to the auto parts store if you were in the lower 48 states, but import fees would probably be cost prohibitive for shipping over the pond.

D'ya know what? Desmogging is beginning to sound not such a bad idea and certainly would mean less concern about changing some hoses.
I think I'll email Redeye.  cooldude

If you look into desmogging on this site, you will see there is a complete desmog, and various degrees of corner cutting (like bending over metal tubes filled at the ends with epoxy).  The tubes don't rot like vacuum lines.  Search is your friend, you can find all kinds of posts with pics and discussions on here.

I paid it done because I'm a sucky mechanic, and I like having all that stuff gone.  Just the #6 vacuum tube for the OE petcock (which is rebuilt of a torn diaphragm once, so far, for both bikes).

There are a couple of Utube how too videos on the how to for the red eye

I did it my self, I would happily say it took a whole day, to pace through it,

Tip one,
Search the forums on the how to get the carburettors in and out there are some very handy tips
Tip two
It’s easy to knock the petcock and loosen the nut fixing it to the tank
Tip three replace the fuel lines while in there, its cheep and mine were perished
Tip four
Have fun getting intimate with your Valkyrie !
