EVILBAY ripoff

EVILBAY has established a new ripoff, if you're a seller. They are intercepting paypal payments and HOW WONDERFUL they are sending them directly to your bank account instead of through paypal. WOW you no longer have to logon to your PP account and in 1 minute claim the pay, always in your bank account the next business day. They forget to mention in the WONDERFUL NEWS they now routinely hold your payment until they have confirmation the product was delivered. Two sales today, one they expect to pay 12/16 and the other sometime in January - it's to the UK. Oh yeah, along with this WONDERFUL PROGRAM they also provide a shipping label page that SAVES YOU a buck or so in postage - and provides them with the tracking # so they KNOW YOU SHIPPED IT. So now THEY KEEP THE INTEREST GENERATED DURING THAT FLOAT - IT'S NOT THEIR MONEY - and with MILLIONS of users, that's not chump change. And if the post office screws up the delivery - which they do VERY FREQUENTLY - the delivery is not confirmed. So the USPS got their money, and got the customer's product somewhere, EVILBAY got your money, and the little guy - YOU - is SCREWED. Not to mention the upset customer you have to SEND ANOTHER PRODUCT TO GRATIS or get a bad review impacting future business. AND YOU'LL NEVER SEE THE STOLEN INTEREST FROM THE FLOAT.

I'm glad I only incidentally put anything on EVILBAY, don't generate much of my income there. But there are MILLIONS WHO DO put all their eggs in that stealer's basket. And I am out hundreds $$$ from products lost by the post office, and not reimbursed. Just TRY to get them to cough up the $$ on a claim w/o the effort costing more than it's worth. This is a job for minimum wage entry associates - whom I don't employ - my operation is a cottage industry; I am not expanding at this time of my life.

BTW - I get one argument why they might do this. Some sellers abusing buyers & not delivering. But to paint everyone with that brush? Has EVILBAY ever heard of computers, databases and data tracking? I have sold and bought on EVILBAY since their inception in 1995 and own ONE HUNDRED PERCENT SATISFACTION on customer feedback. There have been NO complaints. But I should have MY PAY HELD?
