G’day team !!
Basic query,
Is there any G O O D headsets available to load in to a helmet,
I think i prefer to go with the corded type of head set to plug in to the standard din plugs on the valkyrie,
I had s set with the old gold wing but they came with the bike, and i sold it years ago,
Any way any suggestion on what to get and from where ?
Thanks
Luke

I have been using their headsets for over 10 years. No problems, other than having to replace the on Valk running from under the left speaker panel to the handlebars.

I move my cable from the dash to below the back end of the fuel tank and the passenger cable to the backrest.

Grey Wolf, where you gonna mount your antenna when you super valk. I’m thinking about that too… wondering where to put the mount and what mount to use.

I've run corded J&M Elites on every Honda that'll connect to them, and have used them with other applications involving the JMCB-2003. No complaints at all.
Their Bluetooth equivalents...it's a mixed bag. I could get onto a tall soap box about pairing modes and headset profiles, but suffice it to say they missed the mark a bit where certain applications (e.g., 2-way radio) is concerned.
The 2012 C-14 project I'm working on will use a different audio and headset system altogether: Motochello MC200 for the corded stuff and a Sena unit (integrated into new Shoei lids) for cordless comms between helmet and both ham radio transceivers that are going on the bike. I'll give a summary for those who are curious once I have some run time on the rig.
At one time I had helmets with Chatterbox headsets installed, and I've also used Hondaline units (offered for the various Wings). Both worked well, though I'd give the overall clarity nod to J&M.
For 2-way comm usage you can't beat a Setcom corded headset but you're gonna $pend.

Hi Spurliner On the back right of the sissy bar mount screws Using the original arial trunk mount on to the bracket that i am getting made out os 316 ss The standard arial mount to the trunk base covers the three holes on the top See mock up “ edit “ I made a few changes and corrected a couple of transcription errors from the mark up

What sort of antenna are you going to use with that setup? FWIW, Clarion (Hondaline) offered a Standard/Tourer CB antenna kit which uses a non-removable but foldable center-loaded whip and a mount which fits up exactly to the right side OEM sissy bar/rack hardware. The antenna is the same as used on the GL1500/1800 'Wings:

I see them on eBay from time to time. Look for "Valkyrie CB"..occasionally you'll snag an entire antenna kit cheap. IIRC, I got one for $25 earlier in the year. This one is going to get powder-coated to match the rest of the bike (black) but if you're on the hunt for one I'll keep my eyes peeled at the swap meets and online. FWIW, this was the same antenna setup offered for the VT1100 Shadow Ace Tourer and I've seen quite a few of those on the road. Kawasaki also sold the radio setup (and possibly the antenna mount as well) as an option for the Vulcan and Nomad tourers around the same time as our Valkyries were being built.

That's a nice, clean mount.
Can they be produced in quantity and another made for the opposite side of the sissybar? I've an idea for this...

Hey John,
I made this out of scrap, i dont like the angle i have ended up with so will remake it and get it chromed Also i think its simple enough 3/4 square tube and 1 inch by 1/8th flat bar
I will however update the measures as the 3/4 tube is shorter than intended
