Tomorrow I go in for a somewhat minor procedure. It’s sort of Valkyrie related because the problem has put a halt to my riding for now. Should take two or three weeks to recover and then I’ll be ready for an Iron Butt (well that is possibly a bit of an exaggeration). So if you’re so inclined a prayer for an accurate knife and a speedy and tolerable recover would be appreciated. TIA

Heal quickly. I’ve always said that “minor” surgery is what they do to someone else.

Thanks everyone.  This time tomorrow will be post surgery.  I just put some Lucas fuel stabilizer in the tank. I’ll take a last very short ride to the gas station here in a bit to top it off so it can sit for a few weeks. 2-3 miles is about all I can stand right now but watch out when it’s over. I’ll be ready to rock and roll!!!

Thanks everyone. Just took a couple oxi’s. I hate them but hoping it lets me sleep. I’ll yell at y’all tomorrow. I’m gonna be couch bound for a week or two. So as soon as I can bear it I’m going to start the process of installing the electric fuel switch I bought from Mark (MAD6Gun). That means Tank Airbox and carb bank comes off because I’m going to renew the o-rings in the air and fuel rails. Oh, and of course clean clean clean areas that no man has cleaned before. Lol. A new level of sparkle. Then try out the new digi sync. By the time I am healed the Cobra bike will have a nice upgrade and fresh cleaner look.

If I’m ordered to remain on light duty longer than that I may start the experiment of modifying the Cobra pipes to increase HP and reduce the volume. If that works a road trip will be in order

Watch out world. Ok that may be the oxibtalkibg. Lol. Night all

Thanks again for the kind words and thoughts. It’s been almost a week and I can almost sit down. Still no pain pills and the pain generally is decreasing although there are moments. No where near thinking about riding yet. Gotta sit before you ride. Isint that how the saying goes.  uglystupid2 2funny

Glad to hear you're feeling better Jeff.   cooldude

I've been waiting for you to feel better before I brought this up, but .... maybe you need to be a little more liberal in greasing up your rear end going forward.  Grin  (Apologies, but I couldn't resist)

Probably not.  I (unfortunately) have some minor experience with this subject (so I know a little bit about it).  Not to your degree (thank goodness).

But I think I am getting a new spot of basil cell on my face again, so the joy of being cut on and stitched up is likely coming for me too.  On the left side of my face (drivers side window sun) for the 2d time.  Undecided  Already had a chunk of the left forearm cut out some years ago. It was deep enough, you could lay a golf ball in it with the arm level, and it stayed put.  The arm that you rest on the car window sill.

Jess, I pray the outcome is good and as painless as possible. Even though misery loves company I don’t revel in someone else’s pain because I hurt. Any type of being cut on is not fun.

Actually, the chunk cutting I have had (3 so far) are not that bad.  The little biopsy chunk (to find out if it's cancer) hurts for a day or two.  The surgery and stitching is done under a local, and is sore for a few days to a week.

Nothing like you went through.

Though I get to see mine in the mirror every day, butt you should never have to look at yours.   Grin

A spark of good news!!

The last ride the clutch lever was a little squeaky/sticky so today I fixed it. Removed the lever and lubed the pivots and now it’s back to butter smooth. Now I have handguards that must be removed first and they are held in place by the mirror.

So, after re assembly I had to sit on the bike to adjust that mirror. It was surprisingly comfortable astride the big girl. I think I’m not that far from short rides again.

Yippee, went fir a beautiful first ride today. Keith (Farside) came by and we went for a light lunch and then off to Bass Pro Shops for some last minute Christmas shopping.

Rolled the bike out of the family room and the sun was perfect

This is both bikes at the place we stopped for lunch.

Perfect riding weather and a great first ride after surgery.
