Does anyone know the weight of the engine alone?

I don't know, but if you contact Pinwall, or one of the other sellers on eBay, I bet they could tell you.

Google says the 1500 Gold Wing engine is 260.4 lbs dry weight (per the manual).  (So add the weight of 4 more carburetors).

I seem to recall it being 30 lbs lighter than a 103" Harley V-twin at 212#, but I've been wrong before and I will be again. That's just the engine with no carbs, fluids, etc. coolsmiley

My dry-weight SWAG is 275lbs.

At one time I could lift a GL1100/1200 engine onto a bench w/o assistance. The Valk engine is a little more challenging though I can deadlift a good bit more than its weight at the gym. Or used to. Gotta get back to it. Covid closures really put a damper on my weight workouts.

Why do you want to know?   I feel a "transplant" project is in mind?

Maybe building a "mini" Indycar?    I had always thought, that it would be a GREAT "GoKart" engine!!!!

The only problem would be a drivetrain for it.....a simple chain and sprocket are out.......

Engine with a driveshaft is the way to go, if your building any custom vehicle.
Back in the 80’s I built a 4x4 Ford van. I mated the Ford with a 65 3/4 ton GMC drive train. The model with a separate transfer case from the transmission. The engine and transmission were Ford, the driveshaft from the Ford transmission was built to adapt the GMC “planetary” transfer case.
It was a beast.
