Why would anyone shave a cow like that?

Broussard, Louisiana

Hard6 had said they was a comin', so since the Weather Channel was showing some real nasties coming in from Texas, I asked Red if I could borrow her car.  She told me no.  Then she relented but with some rules, let's see what were they....."No smoking in the car, no drinking in the car, don't wreck it and leave it with as much gas I  found it"  Yep, I think those were the rules....

So, when she got off at 1:15 today, I borrowed her four wheels and went to Scott and picked up 9 lbs of Boudin and a half a pound of cracklins - Louisiana health food - ya know, deep fried pork fat.

Then about half way to Hard6's, I pulled over in Welsh and got me a Dairy Queen sunday thingie - man, was it good!

So, I am thinking..."Why is it I dig a bike?  Let's see, I am dry, warm, comfortable, eating a sunday and digging on Sirius Sat Radio to Classic Vinyl throwing down some Who, Beatles, etc with a great sound system."  Oh yeah, like Smokin'Joe says, four wheels move the body, two wheels move the soul.

Anyway, get to JP's and why would I think I need to bring Boudin, he has been cooking away all day and had Boudin, 2 Chickens and a brisket already done and was working on the beans.  "Them boys will be hungry when they roll in....." says JP.

Well, after some lie telling between the two of us, the other lads finally arrived.

It was Swoppie from Florida and the original Gypsy Man, DDT from Alabama.

Time for some grubbin'......

And some good ol' friends seeing each other again after some time LIE TELLIN'.....

Swoppie was bringing his new ride (Valk) over to JP for a once over and she is one sweet machine!

Let me tell ya, lie telling was in full swing when alas, I had to come back home (it's almost a 2 hour run back for me).  It sure was good to see old friends again....

Already lining up rides for this year.....

Life is good.

Being upwind wouldn't help, with that bunch the BS flies in all directions.  2funny

Damn, what I wouldn't give to have been tagging along with Bryan and Bruce. Haven't crossed paths with that Happy Wanderer in ages.

It was a very Large time to roll on over to DDT's after I asked if he wanted to go with on over to Jp's.  It was even more of a surprise to see Strider there when we pulled on up.

Started makin plans for a ride on over to HotGlue's in April as well as other journey's that needed to be made.

Jp through out a spread that was simply awesome and the hospitality was as only those folks from Lousiana can bring to any gathering of friends.  Even took us on over to the market so I could bring back a bunch of that Budan to try out on the smoker.

Anyway it was great seeing JP and Strider again and cant wait to head on back to do it all over again.
