Rare day

They was a predicting a rare beautiful high temperature no rain day so I shook free and got in a great 203 mile ride. Houston area is experiencing near record high temps right now. The weather men are predicting 83 degrees Christmas Day. Was near 80 today. We should normally be in the 50’s and 60’s this time of year. …..Anyways cranked up the Valkyrie and met with a Harley friend and rode to Sealy Tx to eat breakfast at “Tony’s Restaurant” in the rolling hills back roads of the Brenham, Independence Navasota area. Great ride. The Harley friend is still planning his Alaska trip. Really wants me to go with him but he is planning on being gone 2 months or so. Its a bucket list thing for him. I explained to him that i just cant be gone on a trip that long. Also he is figuring on around $12,000 to $15,000 in cost.
Could take my wife on a really nice vacation for that much. Guess Im just whipped. Wouldnt want to leave my wife alone that long. She wouldnt want me to either.

Sounds like an interesting trip but, I agree with it being a long trip. I'd really like to do the Alaska trip also but, the financial reality is, if I did it, that would be the only trip I'd be taking that year and there's too many other places and friends I want to see. It's a matter of priorities. Everyone has their own.
Was mid-sixties here yesterday, rode through a tank of fuel on the bike, today is supposed to be mid-seventies and I'll take the trike out for a tank full of fuel. Tomorrow is supposed to hit eighty, after the morning opening gifts annual event and a nice Christmas lunch, I'll try to talk my bride into taking a cruise in the convertible. We'll see how that works out. Be safe and have a Merry Christmas.
