Road King saddle bags
«
on:

I purchased a used set of leather wrapped road king bags and have seen a few photos of them mounted on valks. Anyone have some mounting advice. Should I be looking to make my own mounts from scratch or try to find some Harley mounts or Valkyrie soft bag mounts?

They can be made to work great. I’d suggest that
You look at how Oem bags are mounted and
Observe how the bags/mounts are connected
Right below the fender. Connecting them that
Way is a big part of mounting bags so that they
Don’t flop and flap around as you go down the
Road.

Easy Brackets. Not to be confused with Ghost/Edge Brackets which IMO are less worthy from my experience though I believe their out of business.

Checked out the easy brackets, they look solid enough but I can’t see such a small bracket firmly supporting a two foot long saddle bag. I have the cheesy chrome soft bag support brackets already maybe I will chop them up and fabricate something new

I made 12 ga. supports for the bottom of the bag's that attached to the Edge Brackets and added 1/4" Lexan inside and bolted to the EB also. I would have preferred 3/16" aluminium but used what I had on hand at the time.
