Hi guys
I bought another 1998 Valkyrie that cleaned up real nice and has Cobra pipes.  It has a fuel rail leak which was reflected in the affordable price . I bought, much appreciated, carb O-rings from Rich a couple weeks ago but redeye.ecrater is not accepting orders and Rich has not responded to email. Hope he is out of town and hasn't succumbed to the Covid bug? I would hate to go to Honda after getting spoiled by Rich's service to the Valkyrie community. Just wondering if he is okay and will wait around for a response.

Be Well!

Redeye Technical Services is doing accounting and taxes and will open the store in a week or so. Well worth the wait! Thanks Rich!

Bummer.  His red o-ring sets were nice and seemed to be made from a superior rubber.  I should have stocked up when they were available.

I took Red Eye o-rings to work and measured them on the Parker o-ring measuring fixture.  What I received were US-sized o-rings that were close to, but not exactly the metrics Honda specifies.

I contacted Red Eye and asked about what he sent.  He responded that he knew more about o-rings than Honda.  I used his o-rings on the intake tubes and they worked.  Some owners have reported needing a lot of force to install those red o-rings for the back wheel.  Probably not the exact Honda specified size.

Now, Red Eye never stated that his offerings were metric.  But, for the rear wheel, I'll continue to use metrics.

email connection with him a few wks ago.
The polyurethane red/orange final drive o-rings lasted for me 33k miles. Actually only the large thin one was worn out and starting to leak. the other two still had much life left and were not leaking. I estimate at least good for another 10k miles.
so I need to find the size of that large thin one.

I purchased his o rings in January of this year for the rear wheel service, had no issues using them.  If you purchase something from the site that shows in stock he will ship it and send you and email. He does not however answer every random question sent to him.

I buy and use his O-Rings every time I replace my back tire. That makes me clean, inspect and re-grease everything. I know it’s overkill, but I service the final drive at the same time. Kind anal about my maintenance. I’ve never had any issues with his O-Rings. Cheap insurance too.
