The Doctors think they have found the casue of the TIA to all you Medical Folks. Or in Laymans Terms a Mini Stroke. Thankfully there seems to be no permanent damage, except I still have the craving to hear Harley Exhaust Notes as often as possible.  cooldude crazy2 crazy2

Thanks from the bottom of my heart for all the prayers and good thoughts and phone calls.

Smokin Joe and Cindy came by to see me and that was great and comforting.

Now for the bad news, apparently there is a hole in the left atrium of my heart that will have to be dealt with. It was found by a internal (down my esophagus) Echocardiogram. If I had not had the ministroke this would have gone undetected. Maybe causing me to meet the Lord himself soon.

But there is treatment for it that may be not so intrusive and I will discuss this Monday with my Doctor.

So a Great big THANK YOU from all of us here in the Cate Family

Every now and then something really bad happens and brings about something really fortunate.

I'm glad you're back upright and I'm glad you had to have the test that found the heart issue.

Be safe, Al.

Glad to hear you are home and they will be able to put you back together again.

They may even find that missing bit in there and and get you back running on six cylinders again.  Grin

Good luck and best wishes to you Al.

Al, it was great talking with you last night.  Glad to hear the outlook is good.  Take it from one "patient" to another and do what the doctors tell you to.

cooldude Hey Al glad to hear that it was a TIA and not a stroke (it's a big difference).

Try not to worry too much about the heart problem, it sounds like they caught it in time and it's fixable.

My heart surgery kept me out of the saddle for about 2 1/2 months but it hasn't slowed me down since.

And it sounds like they may be able to fix your problem in a much less invasive manner.

Take care and "ginger" and I will keep you in our prayers.
