Well folkes, tonight (actually early tomorrow morning) I will not be online for at least a week. Time to leave the republik of Kalifornia, and head to Tennessee.

X Ring will have status, if anything unexpected happens.

Once I get settled, and get internet access, I'll check back in.

I am looking forward to Spring, and riding with some of you in the Tennessee (knoxville) area.

Escape while you can. I-40 going east into north Carolina is a treat.
When I was cross country 18- wheelin that was the slow drive.
I broke down there in Crossville over Christmas in 88 and The people were terrific. Even folks that didnt know me were just wonderful.
Best-o-luck Its the right move.

Be sure to let me know when you get in the hood. I live 20 miles north of Knoxville ( Clinton ) and we ride pretty much every weekend year around and plan on riding tomorrow  Smiley  . You are going to love the roads this area offers both famous like The Dragon , The Hellbender , The Devils Triangle , Cherohala Skyline,The Snake  etc. and  our country backroads are outstanding for the art of motorcycling as well.Picture below taken at Bald River Falls within 150 miles of Knoxville you can be at 20 to 25 beautiful waterfalls with no hiking you can ride right to them ....Welcome To My World  cooldude Bring It...LET'S RIDE  Smiley

Congrats!! When you come up to the northeast corner of TN give
me a yell and MAYBE I'll be off work and can ride a few miles. I'm
more of a cruiser/sight-seer than a peg dragger. Lots of good
miles in this part of the world.

Anza , California ....Had to check it out   http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anza,_California  . I've never been there but I was in northern California last year 2009 working ( no motorcycle ) and that part of the state was beautiful with several roads I was on with a 5 axle low-boy ( 34 wheeler ) looked great for motorcycling. I was in Red Bluff.

Rod hurry while you still can, if this trend keeps up don't be surprised to see the California legislature (controlled by Democrats with a Democrat governor in Republican clothing) impose a tax on those wishing to leave the state.  Don't laugh I have little doubt that they could not find a legal way to do it!!

I arrived on Saturday morning to the Sevier (sp) area, and currently in my new apt.

I'm sitting in the apt. office using/abusing their internet access.

The drive was okay, but very tiring.

My 2 cats appear to have made the journey okay. Only time will tell.

To all "local" folke. Once I get the dreaded "CALIFORNIA" plates off of the vehicles, I will be contacting you all here.

Something about those plates attracts the wrong kind of attenetion, ie law enforcement. And yes, I did obey all speed limits, thanks "X Ring/Marty" for the heads up
